andrew k. | plano senior portraits

Meet Andrew, a senior at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, TX. He’s graduating this May, and I couldn’t be more proud, because he’s my brother-in-law!

He’s one of the best guys I’ve ever met. He’ll do anything for anyone, and just loves being around people. I’ve had the privilege of seeing him grow up since he was 12, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that. He is such a good role model for others, and even I look up to him. So glad he’s my brother!

Anyway, I wanted this session to reflect Andrew. He’s calm and collected, but with the right people, he can be funny and wacky. I wanted settings that would be original, and not degrade his personality. Basically, I wanted manly shots.:)We discovered a building in downtown Plano with cool old white garages and red trim. Perfect! And then we went to the Shops at Legacy, found a chair to model on (hehe), and made our way to a parking garage.

Andrew was SUCH a great model. He took direction crazy well, and he didn’t ever feel awkward. I loved it!! He had the serious face DOWN, and looked great with his amazing smile, as well. Take a look! He’s gonna break hearts in college.

Wow, I can’t believe Andrew has grown so talk. I remember him as a quite, sweet young man when he attended Temple Christian School. Congrats Andrew. I’m very proud of you.

brent and shadia | san antonio couples portraits

These guys are some of my best friends. Shadia called me one day, saying that she wanted to start investing in her friend’s businesses. I thought, “Start?” Brent and Shadia had already invested in my husband’s business, hiring Klentzman Entertainment for their entertainment for their wedding. But they are just that amazing! So they hired me to take photos for them.

I met them down in San Antonio for their portraits, at Mission San Jose. It is such a beautiful place. We got there with only 30 minutes to spare before closing, though. But the outside of the mission is just as gorgeous as the inside. I hope I get to shoot there again!

Also, Brent and Shadia are hilarious. Maybe one day, I’ll do an “outtakes” post and show you all the goofy faces these two (okay, mostly Shadia) can make. But for now, you’ll just have to look at their pretty faces and not their silly ones. Good thing their pretty faces are gorgeous!:)
